About us

The MotifMart is run by an official Yamaha Accessories dealer, KEYFAX NewMedia, which means that you’re buying goods that are designed to work with your Motif, whether this is a gig bag that fits or memory that works. 

We are also an independent dealer, and an independent producer of music software. This means that we can offer not only guaranteed and tested Yamaha products but also a range of innovative third party products such as voice libraries, accessories and other support material.

What’s in the MotifMart?

  1. Exclusive Products: These include some of the Voice, Arpeggio, Pattern, and Sample libraries that are produced by KEYFAX and made exclusively for Motif. As producer of the Twiddly.Bits MIDI Sample libraries you will almost certainly find this is the ‘best place’ to purchase, especially with the many Bundle and Special deals we have on offer. 
  1. Yamaha Accessories: Items include gig bags and road cases, DVDs, PLG Boards, Breath Controllers, stands, pedals, and Expansion Kits. Everything here is 100% guaranteed to fit/work/be to your satisfaction. If it isn’t, return it for full credit or money back. While many of these items can also be found at music stores, we specialize in these accessories, so we know what they are and how they work. Finally, if an item is listed here it will be IN STOCK unless specifically flagged as temporarily on backorder.

When you go to the SECURE CHECKOUT we give you the best range of automated shipping options, from Next Day UPS to US Mail, to download (where appropriate) – i.e. no shipping charges at all for download orders!

Shipping International

All products , except Yamaha branded hardware and accessories (including Cases), can be shipped Worldwide. It is our current policy to ship all international orders with a value of more than $100 via UPS only. This is due to a high number of lost, stolen, and heavily delayed packages in the USPS system. Please be aware that you will be responsible for all duties and taxes as your package enters your country.

Shipping Quotes - If you would like a shipping quote before your purchase, you may find one by placing a “dummy order”…You do this by placing items in your cart, go to checkout, enter in your address including postal code, and hit continue. Your shipping options will appear on the following page in a scroll down menu. No purchase is necessary to do this. Simply close the window if you do not want to make a purchase, or continue if you do.

We ship Mon-Fri , Pacific Time in the USA. If your order is received within this time period it will normally be dispatched within one business day unless we contact you in advance.

RETURNS:

Our current return policy is as follows:

Generally, it's a 30 days and your money back guarantee on perfect condition items. We will always work with you in a flexible way regarding returns claimed as defective. We will and do reserve the right to charge a 10% restocking fee on non-defective items, at our discretion. The restocking fee for DVDs and other media that can be duplicated will be significantly higher, again, at our discretion. We do not refund shipping. The MotifMart not only sells products, we give stuff away!

In many categories you will find free data, Voices, Patterns etc., plus templates and instrument definition files for using Motif with different software applications. There are also tons of MP3 demos you can listen to or download.

We are also offering a brand new series of Monthly Specials. These will include bundles of certain items that naturally go together. 

Specials are just that: ‘special.' So, once they're gone they're gone! Make sure you check these every month if you like bargain shopping.

How do the downloads work?

Downloading is the quickest, and most cost-effective way of buying certain items on the MotifMart.  It is also extremely simple. Here's how it works:

Items that can be downloaded contain a DOWNLOAD option that you will see as soon as you add the item to your Basket.  If you do not see a DOWNLOAD option we do not offer the item for download. (We're sure you appreciate how difficult it is to download a keyboard stand, but books and DVDs ‘could' at least in theory be downloadable but we do not yet offer this facility).

Downloadable items include:

  • Programmed Voices (that use existing Wave ROM)
  • Patterns
  • Arpeggios
  • MIDI Samples
  • OS and general Motif patch/instrument data

Select a product's DOWNLOAD option and choose “Download Only” in the “Ship Via” drop-down box.

Along with confirmation that your order has been successfully processed you will be given a URL where you may go to download your order. This is simply a temporary URL for immediate use. It will only be displayed for 5 minutes.

You will also be sent an email confirmation of your order and this will contain a second URL that you may use for up to 72 hours to pick up your order.

If for any reason you are not able to pick up your order using either of these methods, just email orders@keyfax.com and we will send the order to you direct by email.

What's in a Download?

All downloads are delivered in a  .zip file that can be opened on a Mac or PC by double clicking on it. If WinZip is not already installed on your computer this may be downloaded free of charge at http://www.winzip.com/ddchomea.htm .

Inside the .zip you will find the product itself, plus a PDF manual.
